Equipment: LandTrooper is played using an outdoor tagger called the Par-2 along with a helmet that includes four sensors. The tagger has two sensors built in along with a speaker, built-in display, radio and battery. The position of each player can be monitored in real time courtesy of the equipment’s GPS technology. This also allowed for players to review a game in playback mode once the game had concluded.
Historical Synopsis: LandTrooper was developed in 2004 by Swedish engineer brothers Per and Mikael Widing who also developed the StarTrooper Laser Tag system a year earlier. The Widing brothers are given credit for their instrumental roles in introducing laser tag to the market in China with both their indoor and outdoor product lines.
