greenarpack

The Laser Tag Museum has received one of its largest donations in its history consisting of over 20 laser tag packs representing three different manufacturers.  FUNWORKS! owner Mr. Ross Briles contacted the Curator at the IAAPA 2014 trade show regarding the large donation.  The 18-acre FUNWORKS! opened with a wide variety of attractions including: The only triple level go-carttrack in California, 54 holes of Putt-Putt Golf, Bumper Boats with squirters, a nine-station batting cage, the Pizza Company, Freddy's Tree House, The Game Zone, and an incredible Prize Counter.

Ross is one of the pioneering operators of laser tag in the family entertainment center industry.  He has continued to reinvest in his facility and over time accumulated a large collection of laser tag equipment.

The picture above is of 5 Actual Reality packs, 2 network base, charging boxes, downloader and scoreboard.  Actual Reality was a manufacturer based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The items will be preserved and displayed for the future of the laser tag industry to appreciate.  The other two systems donated by Mr. Ross Briles will be featured in future news articles.

The Laser Tag Museum would like to extend sincere appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Ross Briles and FUNWORKS! of Modesto, CA for this incredible donation.

Zone Laser Tag Donates "CASTLE" Autographed Laser Tag Pack

ABC's hit show Castle isn't new to having laser tag in their episodes. In Season 1, Episode 5 ("Hell Hath No Fury") Castle included a scene with laser tag using the Nexus laser tag product from Zone Laser Tag.  In Season 4, Episode 22 ("Undead Again") prominently displayed laser tag throughout the story arc.

This time around Castle used Zone's HELIOS CE equipment and unlike previous times the main characters of Castle signed the pack used in the episode. This pack is signed by Nathan Fillion (Richard Castle) and Molly Quin (Alexis Castle) who play father and daughter in this hit show. This is Season 7, epsiode 16 ("The Wrong Stuff") of the hit TV series.

Laser Tag Convention a Huge Success

2015 LASER TAG CONVENTION OPENS TO HUGE SUCCESS!

Indianapolis, IN, March 31, 2015 - The 2015 Laser Tag Convention, collocated with Amusement Expo, held in Las Vegas, Nevada has come to a close and by all measures, was a huge success.

merola class webThe Convention had 14 guest speakers including industry power houses such as Jerry Merola, Peter Starkel, Sheryl Bindeglass, Randy White, George McAuliffe, and Phil Showler who gave amazing presentations that entertained and educated all who attended.

More incredibly is how the various Operator/Owner's came together from different laser tag systems to share their secrets of success and continued growth. Kevin and Bronwyn Caster (Laserforce operators); Rhonda and Paul Mikologic (Zone Laser Tag operators); Sean Evans (Q-Zar operator); Paul Clark (Lasertron operator); Jeff Swanlund (Laserforce operator); and Sandy and Wayne Pettito (Laser Blast operators) all shared wisdom and experience to help the approximately 100 attendees avoid operational and developmental mistakes and to get greater bang for the marketing dollar.

The two breakout presentations were from Lathan Gariess of ARC Laser Tag Arenas who had a lot of people buzzing with his ideas about "Beyond Theming" and Jason Bock who gave a seminar about "Birthday Parties - from a guy who hates birthday parties (and kids)".
